SAIL Databank
The SAIL Databank Trusted Research Environment (TRE) contains billions of anonymised, person-based records that span the last 30 years. These datasets include 100% coverage of secondary care data and 85% coverage of primary care for the population of Wales, a wealth of administrative data (education, housing, employment, social care), and a growing volume of wider UK datasets. In total SAIL contains over 85 unique, linkable datasets. SAIL is a rich and trusted population data resource based within Swansea University Medical School, accredited to the highest international standards (ISO 27001, UK Statistics Authority DEA 2017, Cyber Essentials). SAIL exists to improve lives by providing researchers with secure, linkable and anonymised data that can be accessed and analysed from anywhere in the world.
