June 2024 NHS-R Webinar: How to turn your hospital's EHR data into predictions of emergency demand for beds with Zella King (43:31)

In this first of two webinars, I will provide detail on how to do this modelling including what our users (bed managers) wanted and how we catered to their needs

• what data structures are suitable for prediction of short-term demand and how to transform EHR data into these structures

• a high-level introduction to the modelling steps applied to the data

• how we made our demand predictions aspirational (to reflect ED 4 hour targets)

• any analyst or data scientist who works with EHR data (it does not matter which EHR your hospital has), or is interested in doing so

• anyone with interest in using the predictions from such models to support patient flow, including operational managers and academics
