This Keynote talk presented by Professor James Teo is from the HealTAC Conference 2022. Dr James Teo is a Professor of Neurology with a specialist interest in health data, clinical informatics, stroke rehabilitation, general neurology and brain injury. He is also the Joint Director for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at both King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, leading the development and deployment of the Cogstack Clinical Analytics System. He is KCH Investigator for the London Medical Imaging and AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare. His work with natural language processing AI has won AI Awards from NHSX and has been reviewed by the World Economic Forum. He began his undergraduate medical training at University of Oxford and Royal Free Medical School. He also holds a PhD in Clinical Neurology from UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square. He has written more than 70 peer-reviewed academic papers on topics ranging from Stroke to Parkinson's Disease, and his submission to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Data Challenge in 2012 on the use of smartphones in Parkinson’s disease was awarded an Honorable Mention. He is chief investigator of a stroke prevention trial using a wearable patch, as well as COVID risk, health data monitoring systems and AI for Natural Language Processing and Machine Vision. 15/6/22
