HDR UK Applied Analytics Webinar: Scottish Safe Haven Network and a Federation Framework - Chuang Gao (57:04)

A perspective is provided on the state-of-the-art Scottish Safe Haven Network, including its evolution, to define the key activities required to scale Scottish Safe Haven Network capability to facilitate research and healthcare improvement initiatives. We present a framework that can be adopted by the Safe Haven Network for the establishment of federated level access to health care data. The proposed framework will bring together researchers, data custodians and Safe Havens to address challenges of obtaining access to a national level EHR in a unified automated way that not only focuses on bringing national-level breadth, as well as the regional level depth of data, with necessary data governance approvals in place.
