The aims of this bite-sized video lesson are to illustrate the transformation journey of health data from its collection to its use in scientific research. In particular to describe the different sources of electronic health data to introduce the importance of phenotyping electronic health records.

By the end of this lesson, you should understand the importance of phenotyping and how electronic health records can be used for research.
