Professor Annette Peters is a leading epidemiologist known for her pioneering work on the links between air pollution and cardiovascular disease. She holds a national leadership role in the German National Cohort (NAKO) - one of Europe’s largest population based studies - where she serves as Principal Investigator for the study centre in Augsburg and the central biorepository at Helmholtz Munich. In this key note presentation, she explores how the German National Cohort, is being used to investigate the relationships between environmental exposures and long-term health outcomes.
