Videos / BHF DSC Monthly Webinar: Patient and Public Involvement - Kelvin's Journey (2:02)

The BHF Data Science Centre is the UK centre of expertise for cardiovascular data science. It aims to create strong partnerships to health data science infrastructure and reduce barriers for research, and to involve patients and the public to build trust and ensure that its work meets people’s needs. Involving patients and the public in our work ensures that research carried out using people's data is transparent, trustworthy, and acceptable. This short film depicts the journey of a long-standing public contributor, Kelvin Pitman, why he chooses to get involved with the BHF Data Science Centre and how he’s made a difference. The film draws attention to the power of sharing data and the importance of involving members of the public in cardiovascular research.
