Lecturer in Genetic Epidemiology
Richard Allen is a genetic epidemiologist at the University of Leicester. His research mainly focusses on using large-scale statistical analyses to identify genetic variants associated with fibrosis (i.e. scarring) across multiple organs. His research has a particularly focus on lung fibrosis including researching why idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis progresses differently in different individuals. He is co-lead of the national Statistical Methods in MLTC Community of Practice which aims to facilitate collaborations between analysts researching multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs).
