Chris Orton is Head of Business Development for the Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP) and SAIL Databank at Swansea University, as well as Technical Lead for Population Research UK (PRUK) and the Health Data Research UK Inflammation and Immunity Driver Programme. Chris has over 10 years’ experience of operationalising and running Trusted Research/Secure Data Environments, as well as leading strategic direction of developments in the UK and international data landscape with regard to novel scientific use of national data assets and technological developments in data science.
