Principal Statistician for Social Justice
Nia Jones is principal statistician for social justice at the Welsh Government, based in Cardiff. She works on the development and use of evidence and analysis to inform policy, with a focus on poverty and deprivation. Before this, she has worked in a variety of roles on health and education statistics in Welsh Government, as statistical advisor at the Senedd Members’ research service, and as a methodologist at the Office for National Statistics.
