The Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) accelerates large-scale, reproducible, collaborative and efficient data sharing and health data research on a national and global level. It has the power to standardise diverse healthcare datasets whilst aiding regulatory compliance, meaning that researchers can conduct large-scale observational studies more efficiently, leading to improved patient outcomes. This bite-sized video course offers an introduction to the OMOP CDM at a strategic level, supporting the growth of a community of OMOP practitioners and moving the UK to a more standardised, reproducible and connected research infrastructure.
To provide an introduction of the OMOP CDM, its advantages and adoption across large national and international initiatives and how it can facilitate the generation of reliable real-world evidence for regulators, data holders, clinicians, patients and the public. The 8 videos in the leaning pathway will provide an:
This series is aimed at researchers, healthcare professionals and data holders who wish to better understand the OMOP Common Data Model, and it’s advantages to facilitate the generation of real-world evidence across federated networks to support human health.
