This course provides an introduction to using healthcare systems datasets (routine health data) in trials, examples of this and why researchers, policy makers, the public and funders consider this to be important. The course also covers the benefits and opportunities of using health systems datasets and how the HDR UK Transforming Data for Trials workstream aims to enhance and support it’s use in trials.
Intended audience: This course is for those interested in how health systems datasets can be used in a trials setting.
